Hey y'all, I'm back at it again with the breastfeeding update for week 3....
Week 3 was definitely a easier week for me. So easy that I don't think I will have much to say about it. It has definitely been less painful and it is getting easier each day! He is latching on better, but he is getting a bit greedy with it. I know its normal for babies to spit up but last week he was just spitting so much, I thought maybe its something I am eating cause I have been extremely addicted to Cheeze-it's lately(but I am still eating healthy so don't worry). We saw the doctor last week and he said its normal, and Ezra is growing perfectly so thats great news!!
Hey everyone, I am back with week 2 of my breastfeeding journey. I really give it up to women who have been breastfeeding with multiple kids 'cause I can hardly get it down with one. In all honesty though the 2nd week wasn't that bad at all.
My breast are still really tender and it does still hurt from time to time but there are days when I feel nothing and I can breastfeed like a pro but then it catches up with me and I begin to get emotional and question how long I can keep doing this. There are night when I am beyond exhausted and when its time for that 2am feeding I am just emotionally broken. Its hard getting use to not being selfish anymore, but at the same time you know you have to feed your child and you also want to. even though I have some rough night I wouldn't trade those 2am feedings for the world.
Yes you read the title right! I am going to begin a series on my experience breastfeeding the month. I know lots of women want to do this for their babies and especially for first time moms we don't realize the pain and sacrifice and emotional roller coasters we will go through just to give our baby what is best for them. So every week I will share my thoughts and feelings and hopefully this will connect with someone and you'll know you are not alone or even for moms to be who are going to breastfeed you will see what you maybe feeling is absolutely normal.
Well hello there everyone! It's been so long and guess what my baby boy has made his arrival!!! I was 41weeks and 2 days! Gave birth to my son Ezra on June 4th, 2016!
Well my labor and delivery wasn't like what I thought! Waking up atwith contractions and my water breaking, having to rush to the hospital. In a perfect world maybe but I had to be induced! I was in labor for almost 24 hours exactly! They started me off by giving me a pill that would hopefully get me to dilated more cause I was only 1.5cm coming in, it wasn't working and they didn't want to give me another dose cause the baby's oxygen level was going up and down. So they decided to manually open me up! They used this water balloon like device that inserted in my cervix and it filled up with water. After doing that I was 3cm. My contractions started to get stronger after they removed it and when I say stronger I mean really strong!! I was able to handle it up to about 5cm. They had me on pitocin/oxytocin and started me off with a small dose and upped it more and more. When I got to 5cm my pain was on a level 20!! I asked for the epidural, let me tell y'all that I am glad God made this haha, but I wasn't glad about what I had to go through to get it!
